Online Book Critic Fatally Shot

                                                                                         Michael Lowry, author of virally famous                                                                                            website, Books Gone Wild, is brutally                                                                                                killed after insulting Paul Sheldon's latest                                                                                          Misery novel.

 

                                                                                         The article quotes, “This book has                                                                                                        disappointed many long-time Misery                                                                                                  readers and I hope Sheldon retires from                                                                                            his writing career as it has deteriorated                                                                                              with his age.” The review received mixed                                                                                          reviews, and many fans had sent death threats to Lowry. Police are investigating; latest reports show a user by the name of #1MISERYFAN, who wrote a particularly gruesome threat to Lowry quoting, “I’m going to kill you and your family and then feed you to my farm.”

 

The user has been spotted on the web many times writing to Paul Sheldon about her love for him. She receives a lot of criticism for her 'psychotic' comments, including one about her newborn pig that she named after the top seller.

 

Investigators are working tirelessly to decode the server through the users i.p. address, however the location and the identity of #1MISERYFAN have yet to be discovered.

 

Police chief, Alexander Keith, commented, "Often times with a situation like this, we look to viewers to aid in determining the whereabouts of the suspect. There is only so much we can find through Internet posts. What we need are readers of Books Gone Wild to assist in providing any information they can on this user. Any clue found could be of help to having the suspect in custody."

 

Keith also urges people to refrain from commenting on the website during this time to keep safe from any future attacks.

 

Paul Sheldon has yet to publicly comment on the situation, however his publicist is quoted saying:

 

"Paul Sheldon is very sympathetic towards Lowry's family. He is very upset during this time and would appreciate privacy from the public eye. Michael and Paul have recently become acquainted, and Paul appreciates the constructive criticism.”
